Driving
If you have your passport, traffic license, and vehicle registration with you, you can drive. However, do not forget that driving is on the right. Please be aware that traffic in Istanbul is very congested, not only is it at peak hours, but most every day between 7am-9pm.

Sabiha Gökçen International Airport
Located on the Asian side, and has frequent shuttle buses, operated by Havataş, running to both Kadıköy and Taksim. The city bus service, operated by the IETT, # E10, takes you to Kadıköy whereby you can take city boats (vapurs) to cross the Bosphorus to go to the European side. There are also 24-hour airport metered yellow taxis available from this airport. The airport has Rental car offices as well.

Karaköy International Cruise Line Port
Located at the center of Istanbul, it is very close to Taksim and Sultanahmet. In addition to the 24-hour taxis, there are tramways in every directions and a subway (Tünel) to Taksim.
Esenler Bus Terminal (Otogar)
Located on the European side, it can be reached by public buses and taxis from anywhere.
Harem Bus Terminal (Otogar)
Located at Kadıköy on the Asian side, it can be reached by public buses, taxis and the city boats from Haydarpaşa port.
Sirkeci Train Station
Located at the heart of old city, it is very easy to take a train go everywhere in the city.
This is the station where the trains coming from Europe stop.

Haydarpaşa Train Station
The trains to and from Anatolia stop at this station in Kadıköy. As this station is located at the Bosphorus, the station has its own port for the city boats.
City Boats Running at the Bosphorus
Istanbul’s famous city boats originate in Eminönü, and stop at the harbors on the northern shores of the Bosphorus. Cruising through the Bosphorus with the beautiful sea view is an unforgettable experience. There are many options for tickets: long, short, one-way or round trips.
